Did he have this week as some sort of deadline for the Chinese to act over Darfur? If not, you should question what he was doing agreeing to get involved in the first place. Clearly a man who is not as politically sound as he would like you to think...

Absolutely, I thought he was a cunt for doing it in the first place. I'd like to believe that he signed up purely for the purposes of publicly resigning later.

But in fact, he probably saw dollar signs.
