Thinking about taking part in the Brighton Marathon on 10th April? Entry closes soon, so this is your last chance to get a place!

Back for its second year, the Brighton Marathon promises to be even bigger and better, with a fast, flat course taking in both the best of the city centre and panoramic views of the South Downs. It’s a fantastic route and a perfect marathon for anyone looking to take the challenge this spring – and what’s more, by taking part you can also support Leonard Cheshire Disability to help disabled people live life their way.

We know its an ambitious challenge, but we're confident you can do it - and we’ll support you every step of the way, with
Comprehensive training and fundraising guides
• New for 2011 - FREE Professional advice evenings with experienced sports professionals advising on training, nutrition and fitness.
• Regular team e-newsletters to keep you up to date with the charity and event news
• An exclusive Leonard Cheshire Disability technical running vest
Post-race reception with complimentary foot spa, sports massage and refreshments to help you celebrate

By joining Team Runability, you’ll be helping us to continue funding projects and services that make a real difference to the lives of disabled people. Services such as Fethneys, our transitional service in Worthing which provides the first step to independence for young disabled people allowing them to live life the way they want to.

All we ask is that you pledge to raise a minimum of £600 for our charity, and pay a registration fee of £40 to secure your place. The money you raise will go to support a range of different things-

• £100 can fund a couple of hours mentoring with a business specialist trained in understanding disabled people’s differing needs to help find employment.
• £500 could buy a ‘walker’ to help a person with cerebral palsy to maintain their strength and flexibility and move about more independently.
• £800 will buy a touch screen monitor enabling people with limited movement in
their hands to broadcast a radio programme from our Ability Media Centre.
