A Celebration Of Music From The Movies

A Celebration Of Music From The Movies
Published 14th Jun 2006 by Kate Benjamin

One of the most anticipated events at the Brighton Dome is nearly upon us, the Celebration of Music from the Movies, with the celebrated Sussex Symphony Orchestra and special guests including Actor & Performer, Christopher Timothy, BBC South Today?s, Sally Taylor, Shine Children?s Theatre Group, Joanna Appleby (Amici),
and Andrew Rees (English National Opera)

The evening will be a feast of sound and vision as the narrators Christopher Timothy and Sally Taylor take us on a journey visiting many movies that are timeless favourites and their unforgettable music.

Joanna Appleby from the hugely popular group ?Amici? together with tenor, Andrew Rees from English National Opera wil be singing classics like ?Some Enchanted Evening?, ?Shall we dance?, the title music from ?Titanic? and much more.
The highly acclaimed children?s theatre group ?Shine? will join for a performance of that family favourite ?Do re mi? from the sound of music and there will also be a very moving performance of ?Somewhere over the rainbow? from ?The Wizard of Oz? by Milly Upton, a star in the making.

This is now the third concert of this ?Celebration? series from the Sussex Symphony, where they raise money for charities whilst having a fantastic evening?s entertainment.

Sponsorship has been raised from several local and national companies, to enable as much money as possible to be donated at the end of the evening, so a capacity house is their goal. The building company Berkeley Homes (Southern) is the principal sponsor.

Tickets available, with all usual concessions from: The Dome Box Office, New Road, Brighton, 01273-709709 or www.brightondome.org.uk
