Adjust The Format Is Back!
Published 20th Jul 2004 by Amanda

Innovations Promotions Presents
Thursday August 19th 2004 8pm ? 2am
@ Zap nightclub Kings Road Arches, Brighton

Innovations Promotions is a local community based promotion group set up by DV8 Training to give young people a chance at finding a positive future. DV8 give direction in gaining the necessary skills needed to promote events, creating opportunities for young people by giving them control of a promotion group with the guidance of professional advice that DV8 has to offer.

Innovations provide a safe, professionally run environment for young people to go clubbing and enjoy themselves, which is why our club night will be an alcohol free experience with an eclectic mix of urban music split across two rooms which will be playing some of the coolest and freshest sounds.

The previous Adjust The Format was held at the Ocean Rooms in April this year. The event was a slamming success: a sell out with hundreds of young people enjoying the friendly vibes and the hype music. The venue this time, The Zap, is a renowned seaside venue, for many years a favourite of the older audiences but on Thursday August 19th it will be exclusively for younger people. It?s our aim to give younger people a chance to experience what this truly culturally historic venue has to offer.

ADJUST THE FORMAT provides the setting for a hyped up, fun evening that will unify its audience with its eclectic mix of hip hop, drum and bass and R & B.

The line-up will include a headline drum and bass DJ (TBC) with support from:

MC Shabba
MC Shabba has become legendary amongst the livelier, more dance floor orientated D & B scene. He is one of the top lyricists and entertainers in the drum and bass scene; there isn?t a crowd he can?t energize!

DJ Profile
Profile began his DJ career in 1992 playing hip-hop & ragga. In 1995 Profile made his mark and landed himself a set on London's infamous Kool FM, international residencies in NY and Canada have followed. Since then he has been releasing phat beats on his own Remote label.

MC Cowboy
A hugely exciting and energetic MC with top crew Dem Lott.

Benny G
Local ace beat boxer Benny G, blasts out the bass and the beats with his outstanding oral skills.

Local heroes in support: Richie D, Brocker, Bean and Profound

Sponsors include DV8 Training, Learning and Skills Council, E2E, Sussex Careers and KND.
