Artizan Open Studio Sessions
Published 20th Apr 2005 by Artizan Editions

During Brighton Festival 2005 Artizan Editions will be offering art-lovers the unique opportunity to own a rare signed serigraph by renowned Brighton artist John Marshall.

As part of their open studio sessions throughout May, an original screen print of John Marshall?s Buster will be sold as part of a sealed bid auction. The rest of this exclusive edition of 85 has already sold out, making it a valuable and highly desirable purchase.

John Marshall has enjoyed a long and fruitful working relationship with Artizan Editions. His eye for character and detail has won fans around the globe, including super-model Claudia Schiffer, who snapped up one of John?s pieces from a Mayfair gallery.

50% of the profits made from the auction will go to WaterAid, a charity dedicated to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people.

As well as the chance to bid in the auction, every Saturday and Sunday in May (excepting Sunday 1st May), visitors will get the rare opportunity to see first-hand demonstrations of the techniques that have cemented Artizan Editions reputation as a world class fine art screen-printing workshop.

Visitors to the open studios can view and buy work from the award-winning roster of Artizan artists including Sophie Coryndon, Mark Johnston, Chris Kettle, Sally McGill and Henrik Simonsen.

There will also be the opportunity to see work by acclaimed artist Bridget Riley who has enjoyed a close creative relationship with Artizan. The Artizan team are currently working on four new pieces from the distinguished artist, who has been described in the press a ?one woman art movement?.

Dates for your diary:

Artizan Editions will be open every Saturday and Sunday (except Sunday 1st) during May from 11am-6pm.
