After a storming sell out show last November, Playgroup once again presents the masters of the Funk themselves, L.A. based BREAKESTRA, with a special guest performance from the beloved baritone himself, CHALI 2na (Jurassic 5, Ozomatli)!

This is an unmissable night for lovers of Hip Hop and Funk of the highest order. Expect over 2 hours of classic Breakestra and Jurassic 5 in this marathon of groove! Get down!!

Breakestra is an original funk “orchestra” from Los Angeles, California, formed by Miles Tackett in 1996. After releasing several EPs and two full-length albums of mostly covers and sample-filled breaks, Breakestra put out "Hit the Floor" in 2005, which was an album of all-original recordings, fusing elements of funk, soul and hip-hop.



So if you're looking to forget Glastonbury weekend, than this mighty marathon of the funk is sure to chase those blues away.
