Brighton Text Hunt

Brighton Text Hunt
Published 8th Nov 2004 by Laura Boyd

NEW ?TXT HUNT? MYSTERY PARTY HITS BRIGHTON. BRIGHTON students and over-18s are being invited to take part in a totally new type of fundraising party that is a mix of Blind Date, a treasure hunt and mystery tour.

Taking place on Tuesday November 16, Txt Hunt partygoers will be guided around
the city?s pubs and bars by text messages to their mobile phones. They will have no
idea where they are heading or who they will meet along the way. The final
destination is a closely-guarded secret, but with respected London club night Throb
on board, Txt Hunters are assured a very special party.

The event is part of TODAY ? a new campaign by Cancer Research UK to encourage young people to raise funds for vital research into fighting the disease. The charity has teamed up with University of Sussex and University of Brighton Student Unions to promote Txt Hunt.

Rob Cummins, TODAY fundraiser, says; ?Txt Hunt is a totally different night out. It offers the chance to combine supporting charity with meeting new people and getting the best from Brighton?s nightlife. One in three people will experience cancer at some point in their lives and we know it?s an issue that young people feel is important. Hopefully Brighton?s party-types will be intrigued by Txt Hunt and get involved, helping us raise vital funds for research into treating and curing cancer.?

Tickets for Txt Hunt are ?10 and are available to anyone over the age of 18. To sign up visit www.txttoday.co.uk
