Brighton’s Most Exciting New Leisure Attraction Opens For Business

For serious adrenaline junkies of all ages, TeamSport Brighton, the new state-of-the-art go kart experience, opens on Saturday 22nd October.

Situated just off the A259 between Shoreham and Lancing - and just 20 minutes from the centre of Brighton, the circuit boasts one of the longest indoor tracks in the country. Now with 12 tracks around the UK, TeamSport is Europe’s UK’s biggest and most successful indoor kart operator.

The centre’s brand new, full size 200cc petrol karts, each worth a whopping £3000, tear round like rockets. They can reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour, but at just two inches off the floor it can feel like twice that!

But TeamSport is not just for fearless grown-ups. Little Lewis Hamiltons can also show off their racing skills in specially designed top-of-the-range ‘cadet’ petrol karts. They can even celebrate with pals in one of the track’s hireable party rooms.

TeamSport company director Dominic Gaynor, commented: “Karting is the most driving fun you can have off the pro circuit. The TeamSport Brighton track provides fantastic facilities for any wannabe racing drivers out there. Many Formula 1 drivers started their careers this way – and drivers such as Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button still kart regularly.”

Facilities at TeamSport Brighton include briefing rooms and comfortable changing rooms. Precision electronic timing systems, plus smart new racing suits and helmets are also part of the deal. Friends, family and colleagues can take in the action from the first floor viewing gallery.

Drivers and their ‘crews’ can also refuel in Fuel, TeamSport Brighton’s cool track-side bar and kitchen, with its traditional stone baked pizzas, bruschettas, baguettes and more.

Corporate conferencing, Christmas, stags and hens

A considerable part of the state-of-the-art track design was based on the winning entry from a competition run earlier this year by TeamSport. It invited its legion of karting enthusiasts to dream up a plan that would give seriously heart-pumping thrills and spills. Rob McGeown from Horsham came up with a truly inspirational circuit. He is due to meet with TeamSport’s professional track designers who will be adding their own expertise and technical knowledge to turn parts of his vision into reality. The 450 metre track has a flyover and underpass, with challenging bends, big drops and an amazing banked corner for the ultimate grand prix buzz.

A suite of stylish, fully equipped new conference rooms complete a comprehensive corporate offer for up to 60 delegates, making TeamSport Brighton perfect for awaydays, team-building or the best work Christmas party ever!
