Brightons Most Wanted Live Music Comp
Published 17th Jun 2005 by Jason

Brighton?s Most Wanted - Press Release

Brighton?s Most Wanted is a ten week music competition aiming to expose the best of Brighton?s up-and-coming unsigned live acts, giving them the audience that they deserve and the chance to get their hands on some fantastic prizes.

The competition will start with 6 weeks of heats, with some 6 bands playing per night. 3 acts will be selected per night by a crowd reaction and industry vote to play one of 3 semi finals. These will be held at The Ocean Rooms and The Freebutt, where they will be chosen for the grand final by an industry panel.

Open to all genres and all levels of ability, the organisers want to encourage grass roots talent by adopting the attitude of "if you think you?re good enough, then you can play." Due to the level of bands and audience attendance in More Fire?s past events, the prizes up for grabs are of a very high standard:

1st place: 3 days recording and 2 days mixing at Scream Studios, plus cd album package.
2nd place: 20 hours rehearsal time in a top Brighton studio, plus album package.
3rd place: ?150 music vouchers, plus albumpackage.

As the event is co-sponsored by Blast (Juice FM Fridays 10pm-12am) it will receive a high level of radio coverage including interviews, live broadcasts and non-stop plugs.

Brighton?s Most Wanted is a superb opportunity for all involved, and is sure to play host to some great nights of live music. It will bring the best of our local unsigned acts to a whole new audience, and give top industry figures the chance to find out what?s new in Brighton?s constantly evolving music scene.
