Cactus Hosts Languages Extravaganza At Brighton’s Fringe Festival
By Lucy Brandt 25th Apr 2008
Special series of language and travel events spark festival fever!
Cactus, one of the world’s leading language training specialists, is proud to announce that it is hosting a unique series of language events at the Brighton Fringe Festival in May. For anyone interested in getting to grips with a language, travelling the world or becoming an English language teacher overseas, it’s a chance to learn from the experts and be inspired.
Cactus’ premier event is a free language and travel party on 22nd May at Brighton’s friendly Western Front bar. It’s an opportunity to discover more about language courses at dozens of exotic locations worldwide, from surfing and Spanish in Costa Rica, to French and wine tasting in Bordeaux. With free drinks, live music and prize draw to win a language holiday, it’s an essential event for all intrepid explorers.
For people wanting to acquire some instant language skills, Cactus is offering exciting introductory lessons for beginners in French, Spanish and Italian on 13th and 20th May at St Giles College. The classes are designed for anyone who wants to attempt a new language with expert guidance from our native teachers, learning in a fun and friendly environment.
Cactus is also hosting its ever-popular TEFL Open Evening at the Jubilee Library on 15th May for people interested in teaching English as a Foreign Language. The TEFL team will provide essential and impartial advice about starting a new career, working in Brighton over the summer or travelling and teaching overseas. There will be talks from industry experts, a demo lesson and prize draw to win a TEFL course worth £800.
Richard Bradford, Managing Director of Cactus, commented: “As part of UNESCO’s International Year of Languages, we’re delighted to be promoting these exclusive events across Brighton. It’s all about discovering new skills, travelling the world and meeting new people. With fantastic prizes up for grabs and tips from industry experts, our events promise to inspire and entertain festival-goers.”
