Captivating And Enchanting - The Phenomenal Sound Of Nerina Pallot
Published 2nd Oct 2009 by Komedia
After years of touring around the world with the likes of Suzanne Vega, Joseph Arthur and Sheryl Crow, a record four sessions with Janice Long on Radio 2, as well as sessions on Dermot O'Leary's Radio 2 show, Nerina Pallot introduces her third album The Graduate - the follow-up to the smash hit single Learning To Breathe - at Komedia Brighton on Tuesday 20 October.
"***** - Exceptional"
THE INDEPENDENT
Jersey songwriter Nerina Pallot’s consummate ability to captivate and enchant her audience has afforded her a phenomenal live reputation. Pallot produces music that teams classical musical training with her love of country, folk and rock music - with influences including Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell and Rufus Wainwright.
"Pallot emulates that amazing era of 1970s great songwriting… a record of optimism and hope."
SUNDAY TIMES
Her second album, the 2005 release Fires, was produced by Smashing Pumpkins producer Howard Willing and has been a phenomenal success in both the UK and the USA. Leading single, anti-war protest Everybody's Gone To War, was a Top 10 airplay hit in 2006, reaching #3 in the chart. The equally successful Sophia followed this in October of that year.
NERINA PALLOT visits Komedia Brighton on Tuesday 20 October at 7pm. Tickets are £15 available on-line at www.komedia.co.uk/brighton or from the Box Office on 0845 293 8480.
