Comedy For Kids At Komedia
Published 26th Apr 2011 by Jessica Lambert

Festival Kids at Komedia

All tickets for kids shows available on-line at www.komedia.co.uk/brighton or from the Box Office on 0845 293 8480.

After something to brighten up your pint size person’s Fringe experience? Look no further; Komedia has something to amuse your little ones every weekend in May. Comedy to tickle the smallest of funny bones, music and songs, a Sunday afternoon disco and some beautiful puppet storytelling…

Now in its fifth year at Komedia, Comedy Club 4 Kids is back and better than ever. Cracking entertainment for everyone over the age of six, with the best comedians on the UK circuit doing what they do best... but without the rude bits! Featuring Krater Comedy Clubs regular comic Rob Deering and MC Matt Green.

If comedy’s your thing, be sure to catch the magnificent James Campbell’s Comedy for Kids. His brand new show will cover ways to make parsnips interesting, how to look a chicken in both eyes at the same time and why owls don't like Easter.  James will also attempt a new world record in badger hurdling and doing loop the loop with his 93 year old Auntie Histamine. Side effects may include your sides hurting...

And if your child is the next dancing star then Baby Loves Disco will be right up their street with this monthly afternoon dance party for parents and their children from 6mths to 7yrs. The fun spills out from all corners of the coolest venue in town with real DJs playing real music; egg shakers; dance scarves; chill out area; face painting; nappy changing stations; plus a full spread of healthy snacks and juice boxes included in the price, oh yeah and LOTS of dancing.

Following last year's sell-out, Al Start is back with one big shiny new Pirate show aptly named Songs for Pirates. With a full band, catchy songs, silly stories, oogy gloop this show tons of fun for the whole family, just remember to bring you bets pair of sing-along lungs!

Highly regarded performance poet Murray Lachlan Young’s Cautionary Tales for Children II is proof that poetry can be fun, thought – provoking and occasionally quite cool. Modern Cautionary Tales for Children offers a hilarious, rapid fire mix of rock and roll 'n' poetry, stand up, story telling and a big dollop of shhh pantomime.

And to top off the festival, the bank holiday weekend will play host to the delightfully heart-warming and interactive family-friendly spectacular Folded Feather and Suitcase Circus. Meet Wobulous Discombobulous, the anarchic sock as he presents a line up of extraordinarily talented performing objects, all with their own unique and captivating storylines.  Suitcase Circus features the most unlikely of performers including the world's only acrobatic potato sack, the hypnotic tie snake Windsor Knot, and the lovable yet bizarre magical Mexican hat Timrek.
