Discovery Mexican Independence Day

Come and celebrate Mexican Independence Day with Discovery on Saturday, 10th and Sunday 11th September in Brighton’s Jubilee Square. Mexicans all over the world celebrate with good food, music, dancing, piñatas and competitions, so here’s your chance to join in the fun!

Following the success of last year’s event, Jubilee Square will once again be transformed with Discovery Food stalls, Mexican flags, balloons and fun for the whole family. What’s more, on Saturday, Strictly Come Dancing winners; Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova will be performing a Latin show dance!

Discovery will be offering a delicious array of dishes, from the perfect fajita – succulent chicken or vegetables wrapped in a soft flour tortilla, topped with guacamole, salsa and soured cream, to tasty beef tacos garnished with a variety of mouth watering toppings.

Entry to Discovery Mexican Independence Day is FREE and there will be an abundance of entertainment and activities. For those of you with itchy feet, Strictly Come Dancing’s winning stars, Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova will be hosting a group salsa lesson at 11.15am on Saturday.

And if that isn’t enough, there will also be piñatas, a Mexican photo booth, face painting, entertainers and much more! We guarantee there will be something for everyone!

Discovery Mexican Independence Day promises to be a fantastic day out for the whole family – be a part of the celebrations, and come down to the fiesta in Brighton on Saturday the 10th and Sunday 11th September.
