Engine Room News
By Neil 19th Mar 2008

We got something to say! Brighton's 'coolest club' has some news for y'all. For three years now The Engine Room has been holding the banner for all of the cities freaks and weirdoes. Home to Brighton's alternative scene we've been doing everything from Burlesque cabaret to Death Metal since we first opened ours doors. We've seen more than our fair share of legends with early shows from the likes of Editors and the Young Knives right through to aftershow parties for the likes of The Killers and The Horrors. We've even had sightings of Hollywood a listers Jude Law and Jonny Depp we could tell you more but you'll have to get us drunk first...

Anyway here's the story - We have a new capacity finally the Engine Room has had an increase to 250 (from our original capacity of 150).  We have a new license... The Engine Room is now open till 4Am Sun to Thursday and we can open until 6am Fri/ Sat.  We can now host 14+ and 16+ shows when we feel the need, and most important of all we have brand new working toilets for the ladies and the boys.

Also look out for our CRASH bank holiday weekender,,, With Dj's Jonny Nonsense, Lamp and Kurgen giving it Punk, Rock, Indie, Ska and Soul until 6am on Sat and 4am on bank Holiday Monday...

Next weeks event not to miss is Molotov Cocktail Lounge Circus Special with Music hall/Indie rockers. Tankus the Henge and guests featuring a carnival of circus performers, Vaudevillians and Burlesque beauties it's going to be the greatest show in town... and it happens Wednesday the 26th from 10pm it's even free before 11 and free all night if you dress up circus style...
