England Foot Volley Team Vs The Brazilians

England Foot Volley Team Vs The Brazilians
Published 31st May 2005 by Katie Randall

Yellowave Beach Sports and the UK Footvolley Association are hosting the England team and a squad of Brazilian players showcasing the impressive new sport of footvolley in Brighton & Hove.

Footvolley, a new sport from Brazil, is two-a-side beach volleyball played with football skills. It has the summer sex appeal of beach volleyball combined with acrobatic football moves. It originated on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro and helped legendary Brazilian players like Romario and Ronaldinho hone their skills as youngsters.

On Saturday June 4th (11am-6pm), spectators will be offered the opportunity to play with the best. Taster sessions for anyone who fancies having a go will be on offer - and for the lucky ones a chance to play a mini tournament against the top players in the UK. A Samba band and Capoeira demonstration will bring a touch of Brazil to Brighton & Hove and produce an exhilarating atmosphere making it impossible to walk on by.
