Experience The Ultimate Taste Of Spain In The Laines At The Newly Opened Caprichos Restaurant And Tapas Bar

Experience The Ultimate Taste Of Spain In The Laines At The Newly Opened Caprichos Restaurant And Tapas Bar
Published 12th Jan 2011 by Victoria Gibbins

The highly-acclaimed Caprichos Spanish Restaurant and Tapas Bar finally graces Brighton’s shores after 20 years of gastronomical success in Worthing.

Bringing a taste of Spain to the South Laines, originally Worthing-based Caprichos Restaurant and Tapas Bar has now opened! Caprichos Brighton is one of the few in the UK to have been offering a genuine taste of Spain since well before the recent tapas boom.

A firm family favourite, Caprichos offers the kind of warm atmosphere and relaxed but highly-efficient service that only comes with years of practice, making for a superb dining experience every single time.

The restaurant is situated mere moments from Brighton's seafront, and is airy, flooded with natural light and decorated in understated but authentic style, in keeping with Caprichos' laid back feel. Caprichos also offers alfresco dining on their beautiful and spacious Mediterranean-style terrace, and is set to be the ultimate destination for those balmy Summer nights.

The Caprichos menu runs the full tapas gambit, an almost endless array of small dishes prepared to traditional Spanish recipes available to choose from as well as authentic paellas and sizzling platters of meats and vegetables served with tortillas. The pick and mix style of eating informs the restaurant's lively, bustling style as guests jostle to try everything on their table, eating with fingers and forks and perhaps sipping on a glass of wine from the list of almost entirely Spanish labels.

Diners can also choose from the superb A La Carte Menu, which boasts delectable and authentic Spanish dishes such as Fillet Steak ‘Solomillo a la Plancha’, ‘Pollo Tricolore’, (breast of chicken cooked with three different types of peppercorns in a creamy sauce) and Cazuela de Marisco y Pescado (fresh fish and shellfish cooked in a hot and spicy tomato sauce).
Adding to the Latino party atmosphere, Caprichos are set to launch a whole programme of live music, salsa and flamenco nights, where diners can enjoy authentic Spanish entertainment, whilst being wined and dined, and are even encouraged to join in themselves!

Caprichos Restaurant co-owners Bob and Beatrice Pankhania opened the first restaurant n Worthing, 20 years ago. "We opened Caprichos Worthing, as place where we could express our feelings. Food is part of our culture, if we are happy we eat, if we are sad we eat, when you party you eat. Eating is a way of bonding with family and friends over fabulous and inventive food. Our family is a mixture of Spanish and Indian and the passion of food within both cultures are very strong. We want to share this with all of you and we hope to continue our growing success with you all, after all you are the ones who have made it possible!"
