Festival Fun At the Brighton Media Centre

Brighton Media Centre plays host to Brighton fringe festival for the first time with a two-week rollercoaster ride of art and entertainment.  In it’s first ever festival season, the centre in Middle Street, has attracted acts from across the globe, with an abundance of fresh new talent including dance, theatre, and art.

From traditional seaside entertainment with a wicked twist – a dark and contemporary Punch and Judy - to a living installation tackling today’s hot topic of climate change, there’s an amazing variety of acts and exhibitions. And to set the pace, Festival FM are broadcasting from Brighton Media Centre every day from May 5, live on digital FM.

Brighton Media Centre is home to Friese Green Film Studio, the only green screen in the South East outside of London. The studio recently played host to filming for the USA’s answer to Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing with the Stars.  With exhibition/gallery space and a courtyard garden as well as the sound studio, the Media Centre is often described as an urban oasis, perhaps explaining why it’s attracted such a wide range of talent.
