First Acts Confirmed For Loop Music & Digital Culture Festival 2008
Published 15th Apr 2008 by Jason Clarke
LOOP, one of the UK’s most innovative festivals is back, bringing you another cutting edge line-up packed with the hottest talent. Following the success of their 2007 Mercury nominated album “Fantastic Playroom,” New Young Pony Club return to Brighton, alongside Canadian Neu Kraut sensations Holy F*ck. Early confirmations also include Caribou, Planningtorock, Seb Roachfords Fulborn Teversham, Peggy Sue & the Pirates and the Nostalgia 77 octet, as well as local talent from the Brighton music scene. The line up will be complemented by DJs including Casper C (fluokids) and Skull Juice.
The celebration of music and digital art, now in its second year, takes place on 16th August in Victoria Gardens, Brighton, and is guaranteed to be bigger, better and louder than before.
Loop LIVE takes place across four distinct performance areas – new for this year are larger tents and two open stages dressed with the very latest in sound and visual equipment. The HUB arena will again house the more established names, whereas FUTURES will feature 2008’s breakthrough artists. The festival’s popular LIMITS area will be home to the more leftfield artists from the worlds of music, film, animation, and the open-air OUTER LIMITS venue will be buzzing with the best unplugged acts.
Last year’s sell-out crowd made the most of Loop LATE, a series of after-festival parties which took place across the city featuring international and home-grown talent. This year Loop LATE has been greatly expanded to include six venues across the city with full line ups being announced on 1st June.
Loop LIVE tickets will be available from 1st May via the Loop website www.loopbrighton.com priced £25 plus booking.
Loop LATE tickets will also be available this year priced at £10 (£8 Advance) plus booking fee.
More acts will be announced at a later date.
