A new internet gaming centre opened its doors with a bang on 5th November. GAMER HEAVEN offers customers the opportunity to surf the Internet or play the very latest PC and XBOX games on-line or on a LAN. Thirty two high powered PCs, 4 XBOXS and 4 XBOX 360's allow gamers to get the very best out of Multiplayer games whilst comfortable chairs and facilities make for enjoyable Internet surfing.

The centre is situated in Circus Parade, New England Road under the old library and owner Luke Styles has a background in IT and a passion for gaming. Luke saw a requirement in the area for a large centre with space between each PC so people can work or play in comfort. He says, ?Being crammed in when you are trying to surf the Internet or play a game can be frustrating, I want people to come to the centre, relax and enjoy themselves.?

For the gamers there are all the latest games available to play on fast shuttle gaming PC?s (Pentium 4 @ 3GHz, 1 Gb Memory and ATI 256mb X800 XT graphics cards). Two broadband lines (2 & 4mb) ensure fast connection to the Internet. Luke says, ?It is important to have high specification PCs and fast Internet connection to run the very latest games.? Gamer Heaven has teamed up with IGUK and will be regularly running PC and XBOX competitions and tournaments against other centres from around the country with cash and other prizes to be won.

For the Internet surfers there are copying, faxing, CD and DVD burning facilities. For everyone who comes in there are refreshments available plus ladies and gents toilets.
