Gardner Christmas Show Set To Make A Bit Of A Splash!
Published 1st Nov 2002 by Lisa O'Connor

THE JUNGLE BOOK * GARDNER ARTS CENTRE * DEC 6 ? JAN 4

?Join Mowgli on his adventures as he meets all the jungle animals including Baloo the bear,
Bagheera the panther and that wicked tiger, Shere Khan??

Visitors attending the Gardner Arts Centre this Christmas are in for a double treat!

As well as presenting Rudyard Kipling?s classic tale, The Jungle Book, the Gardner is teaming up with internationally acclaimed arts organisation Same Sky to create a large-scale jungle environment, which will take over the entire building including the gallery, foyer and corridors.

And the fun doesn?t stop here with an ambitious theatre set including a real stream flowing on stage! This magical show is created by the same team that brought you Treasure Island, The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland and many other popular family Christmas shows.

The Jungle Book cast will also be making special appearances in and around Sussex leading up to Christmas including a special storytelling event on Thursday 31 October 3pm at The Grange in Rottingdean, former home of Rudyard Kipling. Plus, The Jungle Book cast will be switching on Kemptown?s Christmas lights at the eagerly awaited Festival of Light on Sunday 1 December at 3.30pm. So keep your eyes peeled!
