Like pebbles, seagulls and council tax summons, the Source magazine is very 'Brighton'.

The publication reaches its seventh birthday this month and, to celebrate, are holding exhibition of exclusive photographs by Dan Banda Lee, the gentleman who?s been snapping Source covers for the last 18 months. The exhibition, held in the bar at Hotel Pelirocco, runs from 8th November to 15th December and is held in association with Durex and Absolute Vodka (a combination for a good night, if ever there was).

Among those depicted are a good few figures from the local music scene: notorious food fighter DJ Scotch Egg; polka-dotted princesses The Pipettes; Guy McKnight of the psychobilly sensations the Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster; and Krautrock trio Fujiya And Miyagi.

There's also snaps of Voodoo Vaudeville founder Chris Cresswell, Rarekind boss Dave Samuels, the Lost Vagueness crew and more.

Dan banda Lee is a widely-exhibited photographer who's work can been seen everywhere from CD covers to magazines to book covers. The work in this exhibition offers a first-hand and thrilling glance at Brighton's up and coming artistic talents.

The exhibition is a great excuse to pop in for a drink at the Pelirocco's stylish bar, while checking out some familiar images in glorious colour.
