Hollywood Comes To Brighton

Hollywood Comes To Brighton
Published 31st Jan 2009 by Toni Harman

Ahead of the release of their supernatural feature film CREDO, Brighton film-makers Toni Harman and Alex Wakeford are running a series of film workshops for the residents of Brighton.

The writer / director / producer team made their low-budget feature film on a shoe-string and it has since sold internationally including a release by a major Hollywood Studio under the title THE DEVIL'S CURSE. Their previous award-winning short films have been broadcast in over 40 countries worldwide.

Now in a series of four Saturday workshops starting 21st February, Toni and Alex will be sharing their experience by teaching the nuts and bolts of filmmaking. Covering writing, directing, shooting and selling films, the two-hour workshops run over consecutive Saturdays at the Phoenix Community Centre in central Brighton.

As Toni Harman says, "Along the way, we've got lots of things right, but we've also got lots of things wrong, mistakes that we will never make again and by coming on our workshops, would-be film-makers will never make those mistakes either.

We want to share all that we've learnt as we believe in this climate, film-makers are stronger if we all work together. If we learn from each other and inspire each other then hopefully all our films will be better, more successful and more profitable."

Cost is £27.50 per workshop and for more information, visit www.altofilms.com/workshops.html or email info@altofilms.com
