John B & Spectrasoul At The Pressure Point

Cut Loose presents John B (Metalheadz / Beta) & Spectrasoul (Horizons) on Saturday 3rd February 2007 at the Pressure Point. The original Drum & Bass / electro / 80's pioneer, John B's credentials as one of the scene's longest serving innovators are unshakeable. He has gone from being one of the stand-out producers of the mid 90's to creating a whole new genre: "Electrostep" fusing eighties electro, punk, grunge and trance influences with his trademark tongue-in-cheek humour.

This night is an 80's themed party, with prizes for best dressed boy and girl. John B has confirmed he will be playing a rare "Retro-spective" set featuring work from his early Formation Records & Metalheadz years as well as Electrostep.

Brighton duo Dave Kennett and Jack Stevens of Spectrasoul have exploded onto the UK scene with their latest tracks "Tempest Dub" and "In my arms" recently released on Shogun Records. A 12 inch release of "Live and Learn" and "Blue State" is forthcoming on Horizons Music. Aged 23 & 19, these fresh-faced producers were always bound to be a successful partnership.
