THE YEAR OF THE DOG; THE YEAR OF SUCCESS!

2006 is the Chinese Year Of the Dog.

On Sunday 5 February the BRIGHTON AND HOVE CHINESE SOCIETY is celebrating the beginning of this auspicious year with Lion Dances, and much else. Entry to the celebrations are free and whether or not you are Chinese, you are welcome.

We will be mounting a press event at at the point where Brighton Pier joins the land at 11am on Sunday, 5 February. We will be there for fifteen minutes and we will then go to Hove Town Hall for the rest of the day's events. The press event will consist of a lion dance, a HUGE, decorated (and very friendly) dog to represent the Year Of The Dog, and various other elements to celebrate the New Year.
