MEZZOWAVE will be holding a concert at the spectacular St John sub Castro Church in Lewes on 23rd April 2010 to celebrate the release of their heavenly new E.P. "Beauty". It represents the culmination of 4 years development - live and in the studio - and heralds the imminent arrival of their stunning album "Home".

After the roaring success of the Iford gig and to celebrate the launch of “Beauty - A Four Track E.P.” we’re holding a concert at another very special location in Lewes followed by an after party. Come join us in praise at the birth of a new sound!

Tickets (concert only) - £12. Concert + after party - £15. Doors 7pm til 11pm. After party 11pm til late. St John sub Castro Church, Lancaster St/ Abinger Pl, Lewes BN7 2PU.

Biography

Max Mezzowave has never been one to compromise or conform. Leading a wonderfully nomadic existence, he has taken inspiration from the many stages of his journey and carefully crafted a spellbinding set of uplifting songs and haunting soundscapes. He has drawn from almost two decades of experience in the experimental electronic underground scene and combined it with a very human sense of musicianship. In the process he has produced an album of immense complexity and infinite subtlety.

Of course Max is no stranger to pioneering music. Alongside contemporaries from Mute Records and Renegade Soundwave he has helped shape the sound of a whole host of genres. His DJ Pathaan championed fusion project with Chaitanya Chandru was acclaimed within the Asian Underground movement. He has remixed countless tracks for artists such as Lamb and Lou Rhodes. His debut album "The Hub" took the ambient chill out scene by storm, and as musical director for Alison David (Red Snapper) he has supported Carleen Anderson and Joan Armatrading, performing live on the BBC.

Now, in collaboration with co-producer and bassist Suman Joshi, legendary singers Angie Brown (Fatboy Slim, Bizarre Inc) and Alison David plus a host of extraordinary musicians, he is ready to unleash his most ambitious project to date - MEZZOWAVE IS HERE!
