NCP Offers 40% Savings To Brighton Shoppers

NCP Offers 40% Savings To Brighton Shoppers
Published 3rd Jul 2009 by Andy Pearson

NCP, the UK’s largest car parking company, has teamed up with the North Laines Traders Association in Brighton in an effort to entice shoppers into the town centre by offering a 40% discount when parking at NCP’s North Road car park.

Special discount vouchers will be distributed to shoppers purchasing items from stores involved in the cooperative until the 28th August.

To take advantage of the special offer, customers who receive the discount voucher simply feed it into the payment machine following their original ticket when paying, deducting 40% from the total price for parking.

With the whopping discount, NCP’s new North Road car park tariffs are as follows

  • 1 hour - £1.90
  • 2 hours – £3.80
  • 3 hours - £5.80
  • 4 hours – £7.70
  • 24 hours - £9

Peter Stocker, secretary for the North Laines Traders Association comments: “Parking is a crucial aspect of Brighton’s day-to-day livelihood and this joint venture between the North Laines Traders Association and NCP will benefit both shop owners and customers by bringing more people into the centre and allowing them to park for less money.”

Lesley Collins, NCP’s Business Support Manager for Brighton says: “The economic slowdown is affecting high street businesses and consumers alike. This collaboration aims to encourage people back to the high street with significantly reduced parking prices in Brighton’s main car park.

“NCP is committed to providing a positive experience for customers and we hope this summer discount will prove popular with local residents and visitors to the city.”

The North Laines Traders Association – which celebrated its 20th birthday earlier this year – consists of more than 140 independent shop owners in Brighton who work collectively to improve issues affecting shops and shoppers in the town centre.
