New Channel 4 Health Series Seeks Brighton Party Go-ers!

Birmingham based Production Company Maverick Television is on the hunt for revellers in Brighton to take part in a brand new prime time health programme.  The new Channel 4 show which is being filmed across March and April sets out to examine the sorts of illnesses that many people feel embarrassed about.

As part of this exciting new series, the producers also aim to raise awareness about a variety of health concerns including sexual health, and want a group of Brighton Partiers to help them promote safe sex.  Brighton was the first town in the UK to take part in the ‘Condom Cab’ scheme two years ago and it’s of no surprise that this Clubbing Capital of the South is the first choice again.

The idea is that the group will be joined by TV cameras and the programme’s on screen doctor on a night on the Brighton tiles; during their night out they’ll discuss sex, precautions and sexually transmitted illnesses.  “Safe Sex is a key message that must get across to people”, said Series Producer Oliver Wright. “The problems associated with Sexual Health are far more common than you may think. We want to get the message of Safe Sex across and think that speaking to revellers in Brighton is a fantastic way to do that. We want to hear from people who are not afraid to talk about love, sex and one-night stands and who are interested in working with our on Screen GP to help promote Sexual Health Awareness!”

Maverick Television (the award-winning company behind programmes such as “10 Years Younger”, “How To Look Good Naked” and “How to Live Longer”) is looking to film during the May Bank Holiday weekend (4th – 7th May 2007), and want a mixed group of friends who enjoy a good night out in Brighton to get in touch NOW!
