Nucleus Roots ? Universal Love
Fresh from their acclaimed show on the Glastonbury Jazz World stage where they stunned the uninitiated, ?cheeky? Manchester Dubbers Nucleus Roots have turned their attention to their recorded output. The band have just put the finishing touches to their excellent third album ?Universal Love?. The album, released Autumn 2002, illustrates why Nucleus are gaining a fine reputation for their productions as well as their high octane live shows. A tour of the UK and Europe is scheduled for the Autumn to unveil this new material to their ever- growing legion of adoring fans.
Nucleus Roots formed in 1995 out of the remnants of the legendary Manchester ska/punk/dub outfit Community Charge. With a few line up shuffles along the way the band have now developed a cohesive, creative unit. Recent years have seen extended periods touring the continent and building an enthusiastic following with many sell out shows in France, Holland and Belgium along with stunning UK festival performances. The bands two album releases, ?Nucleus Roots? from 2000 & ?Nucleus Roots in Dub?, 2001, were very well received and made them a regular feature on all respected sound systems as well as achieving Independent chart positions in France and Belgium.
They have a massive stage presence, with a mix of real instruments, a heavyweight digital sound system vibe and a positive message. Fronted by the dual vocals of the leaping, arm waving, crowd pleaser and dub mixer Johno a.k.a. Dub Dadda and the rootical Moses preaching his brand of love peace and harmony. Backed by the subterranean bass lines of Paul Lush and the bubbling keyboards of Peter Technical they produce a contagiously danceable, uplifting roots sound.
Feelings run high when Nucleus take the stage so be prepared for a live performance that will take you through the full gamut of emotions.
Universal Love is coming your way!
