Partnership Between Solutions Inc And Rockinghorse Sees Over £1000 Raised
Published 19th Jan 2010 by Lesley Fitzpatrick

Solutions inc, the region’s leading Apple Mac retailer, joined forces with local charity Rockinghorse in a bid to raise funds from the sale of iPods in the run up to Christmas. For every iPod Nano, Classic and Touch sold in their Brighton and Hove stores, there was a £5 donation made straight to Rockinghorse, one of Sussex’s leading charities, which works to improve the standard of health facilities for children.

John Parvin, founder of Solutions inc said: “Rockinghorse has made such a difference to the lives of many families and children in Sussex. It made sense to us to use the sales of iPods for the donation at Christmas creating an effective partnership. Our target was £1,000 and we exceeded this by selling 266 iPods and raising £1,333.”

Rockinghorse helps to support projects including the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton. Chief Executive Gavin Fisher said: “We are thrilled that a local company has chosen to support our work in such a positive way. All donations are welcome, however this has exceeded our expectations and will go towards making the lives of sick children and their families more comfortable.”
