After taking in 12 cities over two weeks for the Show Me the Funny Live Tour, the winner of the ITV1 series, Patrick Monahan, is releasing his debut DVD packed with extras on the 28th November. The hour-long set from the Irish-Iranian will also be available to download on the same date.

Set to be the perfect stocking-filler this Christmas, Patrick Monahan Live will be sure to have you laughing out loud; so gather around the telly with your friends and family to enjoy this comedy feast in the comfort of your home.

After a six week battle between ten comic hopefuls culminating in a hotly contended final live from London’s Hammersmith Apollo, in front of an audience of millions, experienced comedian and ex-warm up man, Patrick walked away with the ultimate prize in stand up; £100,000, his own nationwide tour and a DVD release.

Patrick may well be the only stand-up in the world of Irish-Iranian decent, but brought up on Teeside. He has headlined the prestigious Comedy Store and performed around the world from the west of Ireland to Dubai. Patrick’s charming banter and animated story-telling style wowed the judges Jason Manford, Alan Davies and comedy critic Kate Copstick before winning the public vote.

Of his debut DVD release Patrick said: “I still can’t believe that I will have my own DVD, I’m absolutely over the moon. When walking into the shops to do my Christmas shopping I’ll be able to see my face on the shelves, it’s a dream come true!”

Patrick Monaghan Live is available on 28th November, just in time for Christmas. The DVD is packed with extras including a behind-the-scenes filming of the live TV final, behind-the-scenes opening title sequence, highlights of Pat’s sets from the series, sets from the two other finalists and a specially filmed VT with Pat and mentor Johnny Vegas from the live TV final.
