Comedy fans are in for a treat as Popcorn Comedy brings cult comedy legend David Schneider to Komedia on 21st May for a rare and intimate stand-up appearance.
David Schneider is instantly recognisable from classic British comedy series such as The Day Today, Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge, I'm Alan Partridge (where he played the fictional BBC Commissioning Editor, Tony Hayers), and even Hollywood films such as Mission Impossible.
Alongside David, Doc Brown will be appearing on the bill at Popcorn Comedy. Doc Brown has been described as "The Bill Bailey or Tim Minchin of the rap world" (Chortle) and promises to be a real treat.
Popcorn Comedy is a cult comedy night that was formed in London two years ago by TV producer Jon Petrie and comedian Holly Walsh. It mixes the best stand-up and character comedians with the funniest and sharpest video gems from the Internet. The multimedia night now boasts locations around the country, several festival appearances, and attracts hundreds of people each month. Here's some nice stuff people have said about them;
“A cult hit…always a corker.” Time Out
“Popcorn Comedy Was A Joy To Behold.” The Sun
“A genuine community feel.” The Guardian
“The first truly successful interactive live stand-up show.” BBC Comedy
David Schneider is available for press interviews. Please contact Jon Petrie to arrange; 07841 343 665
