ROBERT LOGAN
www.myspace.com/robertlogan
Still only 21, Logan has already drawn comparisons to the likes of Amon Tobin, Massive Attack and Autechre. His brilliant and acclaimed debut ‘Cognessence’, was described as “…the link between the completely urban, dance floor focused scenes of grime, ragga, dubstep and the industrial/suburban landscape of teenage bedrooms, twitching curtained cul-de-sacs and the discovery of the inner life”. [BBC experimental].
He has also released a fantastic pair of 12”s on Slowfoot and his recent album “Inscape” has confirmed his status as a very exciting prospect. "With his debut album, Robert Logan had set the bar rather high, but he effortlessly surpasses it with this second effort... ...With Inscape, Logan has delivered one of the strongest records of the year so far. 4.7/5 [Milk Factory]
Already championed by the likes of Mary-Anne Hobbs, Logan's recent CV includes opening for Grace Jones at Massive Attack's Meltdown, co-writing the score for the Oscar winning documentary feature ‘Taxi to the Darkside’ and ongoing collaborations with the likes of Skye (Morcheeba), Brigitte Fontaine and Brian Eno.
He has remixed for the likes of Red Snapper [Lo Recordings] , Gagarin [Geo], Siobhan Donaughy [Ex-Sugarbabes], Slovo and Grace Jones.

INSCAPE
"Those familiar with Robert Logan’s work will know what a pioneering force he is on the electronic music scene: he makes dark, resonating electronic compositions suited to the abandoned areas of dank cities, the hazy glow of bedrooms in streetlight, and the darkest part of the uncertain subconscious” [Buzzin Electronic Music]
"Inscape is a technically impressive piece of work, and a treat for all sets of ears that pine after flamboyant, intricate electronica." [Boomkat]
"Robert Logan's music is assured, airbrushed, solidly built and cockily inclusive, gathering Old Skool rhythmic science, technoid shivers and Gothic interludes into its inky, brooding embrace... ...periodically reminiscent of 'intelligent drum'n'bass' landmarks like Photek's 'Modus Operandi'" [The Wire]
GAGARIN
Gagarin has been making music on the edges of the musical galaxy for many years in many guises. Currently he works alone crafting atmospheric digital soundscapes, sculpting future grooves and polishing aching melodies. He plays out live - an exciting mix of software precision and human frailty/spontaneity that's never the same twice. Early adventures in cult Manchester band Ludus were followed by a sustained period playing and co-writing with the legendary Nico of the Velvet Underground. He's since recorded and collaborated with John Cale, Suns of Arqa, Eric Random, David Thomas & Pere Ubu, Bill Pritchard,Cabaret Voltaire as well as many others and played at the Tabyck shamanist festival in Siberia,in castles in Scotland and France, festivals and clubs across the globe.
A regular on the London electronica scene in recent times he's played at Moonpalace, Rehab, Slack Sabbath, Fade In, Multivitamins, London Headphone Festival, Netlabel festival, Ginglik, Foundry, Klinker, Recluse, Disco-rdance, Guerrila Zoo etc as well as other UK nights like Spirit of Gravity, Xposed Club, Working Classes, I betya etc.
He's member of glitch/pop combo Raf & O who are making waves on the live scene, part of an exciting band with Welsh-Iranian songstress Roshi ( ft Pars Radio ) whose debut EP has been widely acclaimed. He's also an active and experienced Community Musician running workshops for many community groups, specialising in facilitating creativity with technology and teaches at Goldsmiths College.

THE VAINGLORIES
Gillian Alder has been writing scores for imaginary films as The Vainglories since 2003. Whilst living in Melbourne she played in melodic pop band Tempted and electronica duo Sweet Violentine, and contributed music to theatre, live improvised comedy and (actual) short film. In 2007 she moved to Brighton and has been working on creating a live performance set from The Vainglories' back catalogue of extraterrestrial lullabies. The Vainglories' music has featured on Australian radio stations SBS, PBS and Triple J, and was selected for a Melbourne Fringe Festival compilation album in 2004. In January 2008 The Vainglories played her debut live gig at Brighton's Spirit of Gravity.
A review from The Vainglories debut gig:
The first live performance for The Vainglories was, as described on the tin: beautifully crafted electronica with dark undertones and scary undercurrents. Sat at a keyboard, laptop and FX Melbourne native Gillian Allder worked her songs by building up a background through the laptop into concisely structure songs with haunting piano leads over the top.
