Sans Danger Take To The Ballroom
Published 1st Nov 2002 by Laura Creasey

The Hanbury Ballroom take on a new DJing trio.
Thursday November 7th 2002, 10.30 ? 2am.

Over the last two years Sans Danger have been making appearances all over Brighton so you may have already sampled some of their toe tapping turn tableism. If you happen to have had the pleasure of popping into The Open House on a Thursday evening you will have seen the boys taking a relaxed attitude to Djing, enjoying a wee tipple and sharing a few of their favourite tunes with the rest of the punters.

Now, to extend their evening and yours, they?re prepared to up the tempo, get on their feet and take themselves over to The Hanbury where you will find a more up beat variation of their Djing skills. So when those pubs are closing up behind you and turfing you out into the chilly streets, turn on your heal and get yourself over to the Hanbury and boogy ?til 2 with Sans Danger!

A typical Sans Danger night would get you dancing to anything from Gwen McRae to Francois K, Tribe Called Quest to Marcia Griffiths. Just how in the same way three ordinary flavours of ice cream can be combined to create the exotic taste of Neapolitan, so Sans Danger combines three ordinary blokes of varying musical tastes to create a perfectly blended night that just has to be danced to.

Ian?s angle is to play whatever he?s into that particular evening be it funk or rave? or even funky rave. Matt keeps the New York Underground house and disco sound alive, and Kieran is the man that dare?s put Dr Dre and Glen Campbell into the blender!

Sans Danger?s choice of music emanates a friendly and unpretentious attitude and has no trouble setting an intimate vibe to their nights. All they want is for you to enjoy their tunes and get down to a medley of all things funky.
