Skint, Stompafunk and Schtumm Play Out For Sacha

Skint, Stompafunk and Schtumm Play Out For Sacha
Published 15th Jun 2007 by Jess

Brighton collectives Skint, Stompa Phunk and Schtumm all join an appeal to raise money for a local girl’s life saving treatment, by organising a night at The Beach Club on the 20th of July.

Sacha Skinner aged 6 of Firle Road Brighton was diagnosed with a fatal illness known as Battens Disease in July 2005. The genetic condition effect’s the nervous system and sufferers lose the ability to walk, talk and see. With money raised from the event Sacha’s parents are hoping to take her to China for potentially lifesaving Stem Cell Treatment not yet available in the UK.

The night will take place at The Beach Club in Brighton on Friday 20th July. Playing on the night will be electronic geniuses Transformer (their music described as 80’s style electro pop keyboards meets punk funk guitars), Stompa Phunk co-founder Dave Parr, Skint’s lord of the disco Andy Mac, Skint head honcho Midfield General (TBC) and creators of the ‘diminutive warehouse’ party Schtumm, Neal Lewis, Sam Watts and Senor Mick. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to supporting Sacha and it’s hoped the night will raise awareness of Battens Disease.

An opportunity to check out some of Brighton’s finest talent all in aid of a good cause. With free Tuaca shots on the night this is an event not be missed!
