Speed Circus Come To Brighton

Speed Circus Come To Brighton
Published 24th Apr 2006 by Robbyn C Snow

Since supporting Madness on their summer 2005 Dalby and Sherwood Forest shows, Speed Circus have become the most exciting live band in the south, having played some of London?s most reputable clubs, including The Metro, Carling Academy Islington, Catch 22 and The Salisbury, to name but a few.

With ruthless energy, their fantastical movement creates a visual feast as well as musical delight, with two tone influences signifying their musical genre.
Although respecting the more indie-pop bands who reflect a similar style to themselves, they represent the renaissance of true new wave Ska in the UK, with influences spanning from Manu Chao to The Kinks, Mos Def to The Stone Roses.
Catch them live for an enticing mixture of compelling intensity and exhilarating energy, crackling with the resonance of ska revivalism, soul and jamming that only the exuberance of youth can truly provide. Expect the unexpected; the circus is heading your way!

?Take seven North London boys, the word prolific, a gusto performance themed to the tune of ska revivalism - but not as we know it - and hey presto: SPEED CIRCUS.? - BULB MAGAZINE
