St. Patrick's Day Street Party - Saturday 19th March 2005

St. Patrick's Day Street Party - Saturday 19th March 2005
Published 14th Mar 2005 by Laura Creasey

If you want to be where the real craic is at, in Brighton this coming St. Patrick's Day, then get yourself along to The Fiddlers Elbow, Boyce?s Street. This will be the eighth year The Fiddlers has hosted Brighton's biggest St. Patrick's day bash and all the usual shennanigins will be happening. Boyce?s street will be closed off for the celebrations and the pub will be open from 11am till midnight with an outdoor bar and traditional Irish food avaiable (under cover in case of rain). The street entertainment starts at 2pm with Celtic rock, jazz, funk and Ceilidh sounds courtesy of five Celtic bands. Plus dancing from the pupils of Scoil Rince Ui Chiardha (Carey School of Irish Dancing). The entertainment will go on the outdoor stage till late in the evening.

Expect Boyce's street to be awash with Guinness, which the Fiddlers has consistently sold more of at this event than any other pub in England and can be followed by an Irish whiskey from the Fiddlers own wide selection. It is also worth sticking around for the raffle, where you could walk away with some lovely Jameson?s Irish whiskey, vouchers, hoodies and lots of other great prizes. This years St Patrick's day celebrations will be donating money to the Rocking Horse Appeal, a local children?s charity.
All you have to do is make sure your there!
