The Zap Clubs 18th Birthday Party

The Zap is one of the most acclaimed clubs in Brighton boasting a history of some of the best DJ?s and live acts to have graced the clubbing and music scene.

In the beginning (1984) architect Anthony Browne converted two of the arches on the seafront into a performance arts club, in 1996 he was asked to extend the popular arts centre and night club adding another two arched to include a gallery space and extra bar area.

As an accredited music venue, the Zap is forever in the foreground of national and world wide press as top of the list for places to go. This unusual venue combines specialist lighting, audio systems and air conditioning create an environment that reflects the young and artistic profile of Brighton.

Stomp who started performing on the streets of Brighton debuted at the Zap, are now renowned for their musical originality, other well known artists to have played here include; Oasis, Cranberries, Carl Cox, Goldie, Boo Radleys, Supergrass, Spiritualised, and Norman Cook. Past punters of the hot nightspot are rumoured to include the likes of Paula Yates, Richard E Grant and Kylie Minogue.

It?s the Zaps 18th Birthday and we?re going to celebrate with a party on Saturday 7th December with our new night ?Saturday at the Zap?, with DJ?s including Tim Deluxe and Paul Woolford combined with some of the old zap faces from over the years including past and present owners, promoters, performers and VIP guests.
