Three Day Festival At Brighton Racecourse

Three Faces of the Festival

There is something for everyone at Brighton Racecourse this August. The three day festival is the highlight of the month, commencing with Ladies day on Tuesday 2nd August. This is followed by the richest race of Brighton?s racing calendar, John Smiths Brighton mile, and ends with a bang on Thursday evening with the ultimate Party on the Hill.

Which look will you be sporting during the festival?.

Tuesday 2rd August, Ladies Day
Sophisticated and Chic ? Today is the day to dress to impress! Ladies day is fast becoming the cities most glamorous event of the year. Photographers and style gurus will be mingling in all areas of the racecourse selecting the best dressed lady and gent. The Brighton and Hove life magazine will also be looking to nominate one lucky person as this years? style icon. There will be prizes for everyone selected so grab your glad rags and your handbags and be prepared to step into the spotlight!
First race: 2.15pm Last race: 5.15pm

Wednesday 3rd August, John Smiths Day
Sporty and Outdoors ? Whether you are a newcomer to racing or an avid follower, today is an excellent chance to sit back and sample some of Brighton?s top racing action. The ?35,000 John Smiths Brighton mile attracts some excellent horses in the field and makes the betting all the more exciting. Take advantage of the courses excellent lay out and either go down to the rails to experience the thrill of a close finish or cheer your winning horse from the grandstands, while experiencing the fantastic panoramic views of the English channel and South downs.
First race: 2.40pm Last race: 5.10pm

Thursday 4th August, Party on the Hill
Sassy and Funky ? Start your weekend early at Brighton?s party on the hill! This is the last chance for you to be a part of the three day festival. Either relax on the lawn with your Pimms and champagne or dance into the evening with the live jazz band. Badges are already selling out fast, so tell your friends, choose and outfit and join us for a day to remember!
First race: 5.55pm Last race: 8.25pm

Badges are ?15 for Premier and ?10 for Grandstand and Paddock when booked in advance (?2 more on the gate) There are also exclusive packages available, ranging from ?10 to ?65.
