Remember that time as a child when your mum first allowed you to use the blender, so you decided to make a milkshake and went through all the kitchen cupboards and rammed the jug with ice-cream, chocolate, strawberry squeezy sauce and all other things sweet and sickly, only instead of adding sugar you put salt (or maybe monosodium glutamate?) in by mistake, and the resultant taste of said milkshake left you feeling utterly violated yet strangely satisfied at the same time? Yeah? Well this is the club night equivalent. In an anti-statement to the beautiful elite, Tomtron, Gary_v11.0 (pronounced ?Gary Eleven?) and occasional special guest DJs will be spinning small pieces of circular plastic with a bit of metal inside that you fire lasers at, every first Wednesday of the month at The Engine Rooms. Playing you the best bits of New Wave, Punk, Hip-Pop, Modern Electro, Indie, 80s Middle-Of-The-Road and Hair Metal ? only in no sensible order, we will unashamedly dip in and out of Daft Punk, Misfits, ELO and Starship without even batting an eyelid between us in embarrassment. Heels come alive in a trail of stardust as we seamlessly blend the Death Disco hits of today with everybody?s hidden vices of yesteryear, in a way that seems so wrong but feels so right. You?ll wonder why you didn?t admit you were a Go West fan sooner.
