Water Margin And Kabuki Open Friday 4th May

Water Margin And Kabuki Open Friday 4th May
Published 20th Apr 2007 by Jess Neame

A brand new bar and clubbing concept opens in Brighton in time for the May Bank Holiday weekend. Please raise your glasses, put your hands together and make way for an all singing all dancing brand new social destination…

The Water Margin
The new ground floor bar, The Water Margin, promises stylised luxury, Atmospheric lightboxes will be providing a contemporary backdrop to a luxurious bar with a full array of drinks, a delicious Dim Sum menu, waitress service when required and a positively grown up and decadent vibe.

Kabuki
Taken its inspiration from the traditional Japanese

theatre, Kabuki will be a dramatic affair designed to make everyone feel like a VIP.

The futuristic LED light wall designed and manufactured by Showtec gives an air of a Neon City in this dramatic new space. This combined with a new sound system and contemporary DJs will produce a unique sound and light effect ensuring that Kabuki really will be bringing something entirely new to Brighton's social scene.

Simon Woplin explains how "Kabuki really is going to be a unique and exciting new venue that we hope will cater to all tastes. As well as having a great drink, food and musical line-up it is also going to look and feel fantastic - while it sounds like a contradiction in terms the best phrase we've come up with to define the place is 'contemporary retro'!"

Kabuki will have booths that can be reserved and will have their own waitress service and a 24 hour license that can be used when appropriate. Both Water Margin and Kabuki will be non-smoking environments from the outset ensuring the luxury stays luxurious and the beautiful clean designs stay that way too!

Entertainment
In keeping with the brand new yet retro vibe Kabuki will host some of Brighton's newest and oldest DJs, artists and producers ensuring that, as in the days of the original Kabuki theatre, the entertainment was suitable and accessible to everyone whether you were Japanese royalty or a working peasant.
