Pioneering Phuture Dub Sound System. Cross-cultural
collective of multi-media cybrarians, art errorists
and audio/visual communicators.
Formed in 1990 -
Molara (voice and percussion), Cod (melodica), Perch
(Live Dub Mixing), Hake (Trumpet), Forkbeard (Trombone)
Marcus Campbell (guitar) and Tench (atmospheres and electronics).
One of the planet's most prolific groups producing
everything from music to magazines, CD Roms to Internet
Sites, Sound Systems to book publishing. Designers,
artists, club/festival promoters, writers, producers,
remixers and programmers, record label owners, environmental
and justice supporters, interested in all sorts of
tree hugging hippy crap:-)
Signed to China Records in 1995: released the worlds
first promotional dub music video for 1995's 'Get
Ready' single. Released one of the best CD Roms ever,
a companion to the Homegrown Fantasy LP and a genuine
interactive album, bursting with sound, visuals, information,
a remixable track and the world's first ever interactive
interview, with situationist and Sex Pistol's graphic
artist Jamie Reid: "Brilliant ... the best CD Rom
of the year" - The Wire, "Astounding" - Arena.
Back on their own Universal Egg label since 1999 they
have continued to release quality dub, electronic,
experimental drum and bass and world dance music.
Zion Train take a conscious and adventurous approach
to the music business
Their Bass Odyssey club night, was described in The
Independent " you won't find a better dub all nighter
in the capital". The live set was described as, "bouncier
than a party in a Michelin factory, by the NME". They
have played most of Europe?s major festivals and print
their own magazine The Wobbler, with a circulation
of 15,000, distributing thought provoking, useful
and irreverent information.

Prince Allah, Chumbawamba, Rootsman, Afro-Celt Sound
System, Dub Syndicate, The Shamen, Ozric Tentacles,
Gary Clail, Junior Reid, The Ruts DC, Merzbow, Loop
Guru, Coil, Maxi Priest, New Model Army, Muslimgause,
Headmix, Kava Kava the list goes on ...
