Charles StreetSome of these reviewers must have visited a different club to me! So what the club doesn't sell crisps and peanuts? It also doesn't have sky sports, drunks fighting, and scruffy people in it, i.e. it's not a straight bar. If you want crisps/peanuts go elsewhere!As for the toilets being disgusting, not in my experience, they seem to get cleaned every day,if some of the clients misuse them,it aint the staff's fault. Anyway, enough of that, decor in the place is generally very good, unless you are one of these Londoners who come down to slag off the provinces cos they don't have millions to spend like the big city! lol. The club upstairs is small but then it never could be anything more due to the size of the building and the planning restrictions when it was built, choose a busy student night or a weekend and you'll have a good night, like anywhere outside London, it will have quiet nights so don't expect the world, just an enjoyable night out with friends! Overall I'd give it 6/7 out of 10, more if u pick the right night, drinks prices are about average for Brighton i.e. not cheap. |

| Was in brighton 4 the weekend and read the reviews for the bars prior to hitting the city. I have to agree with the previos comments about the state of this place. to say its a shit hole is doing it justice. The toilets are disgusting and the cleanliness of the place is non existant. The previous comment from the girl says that the toilets are smashing.. sweetheart the toilets need smashing along with the rest of the dump. Brightons premier gay bar????? God help the others. NEVER TO RETURN. | |

Charles St BarPlace is a dump. Toilets are digusting. Asked for penuts or crips and was told we dont sell em but we do have muffins. Mmmmm!! Sat outside at 2 mins to eleven on a chilled evening and the heaters turned off at eleven. Requested them be turned back on while myself and the rest of the customers were finishing their drinks only to be told no. |

| On reading the previous review of this bar I beg to differ! Its a super venue, and the staff are wonderful, the food is excellent and its cheap!! Not something you get a lot of here in Brighton. Oh and the loo's are smashing!! | |

Went in there on a weekday night and Sunday evenning. No atmosphere and what a shit hole. Judge a pub by the state of the toilets and what a state!. What is wrong with theses bar managers? They want to run "premium bars" on potntially great sights in a "cool" city but end up running them for their own cudos. Teach your staff about customer service. Learn about standards and maintaining them. Appreciate your customer and what exactly he/she is looking for. Well sit on your laurrels - I'm sure you will still take the money, there's always the new influx of tourists who wont know any better or even care while they're here on their jollies!. However, there is a great local and older customer base that needs to be catered for but then you would have to actually do some work to bring them in as opposed to just openning the doors. NEVER TO RETURN. |
