Om BarWe totally stumbled upon this fab bar by accident last Saturday night... WOW! I love it...so nice to go somewhere with a bit of class/style with a really cool ambience. Loved the decor and had a real feel of being in a bar/club in Ibiza...i felt like being on holiday in there! In fact, I love it so much I am going back tonight with some other friends! Bring it on! |

Great bar. It has none of the seaside trashiness associated with so many of Brighton's bars and manages to get the feel of a trendy London bar without the being pretentious. My only worry is it's back street location will mean it gets overlooked. If you live in Brighton or Hove make a point to visit this little gem. Whether it's quiet midweek drink or a pre-club bar on the weekend you'll want to return. |

| I was eager to try this bar out when I heard about it. The Asian theme looked great and I had high hopes for the bar. On our first visit the place was dead and theres was no one upstairs but the staff were friendly enough. The girl behind the bar was making my cocktail whilst reading receipe from a pad, not the best of starts in my experience and I was proved right, it was very poor. Against my partners wishes we did go back a few weeks later as I was keen to support an independent bar in Brighton. This time it was dead, two other people in the bar at 10.45 pm. I went to order a drink at the bar to be told we would be served at our table which was nice. 8 minutes later we were still waiting to be served I went to the tolet and came back and the barman had just made it over to us. Nice enough but failed to retun with my £3.20 change We finished our drinks and on the way out I asked for my chgange, he gave me a look as if he expected to keep it for serving us at the table. Dam right rude if you ask me. A real shame as the owners have spent a hell of a lot of money on this place. I wont be going back for a 3rd time. | |

Dear Shane, I really do appreciate your comments and actions regarding the doorman, who I felt was completely out of place at the Om Bar. Prior to his appalling behaviour we had spent a very nice evening relaxing in the Om Bar, I now feel able to recommend it again, not just because of its ambience and atmosphere, but because you acted so promptly after reading my message. You could've just ignored me, but you havent, so thank you very much. I will, of course, pass on your excellent response to all my friends who were with me that night. Regards and all the best Ben Martin, Brighton. |

This place would be excellent if it wasnt for the thuggish doorman. Inside its a relaxing themed bar, with a good atmosphere and expensive drinks yes, but you can sit there all night with just the one if you want. The manager and bar staff are great. Thats why its all the more perplexing that they should employ a cretinous doorman who thinks its OK to shove pregnant women (a third his size) out of the door and to follow her friends up the road as they leave, calling the pregnant woman a 'bitch'. Sort it out Om Bar. |

Full MoonI accidently found OM bar when I was on my way to another club. Tucked away opposite the pier it was a pleasant suprise. Its small, but looks and feels expensive and you can actually relax and chat with friends. I found myself feeling like I was abroad. There is a waterfall wall, candles and budda bar style music. I had one too many chilli cocktails, but its always a good sign when your crawl home. The staff were friendly and just as I was leaving I noticed a DJ in the loo..strange concept, but makes for a fun toilet experience. My only complaint was the over powering incense, but after speaking with one of the waitresses they stopped burning them. I love it here and am glad someone of my age 30 can finally enjoy a good quality drink..the following night I took my girlfriend and she was pleased I had thought of a romantic venue..... Check it out. |
