Erol Alkan

We booked 10 tickets at £13 a piece for my brothers 20th birthday as we are all fans of erol alkan but the birthday boy was turned away at the door for being "too drunk". This would have been annoying if he was too drunk but the poor fella doesn't even drink and was completely straight!!!!! We tried to explain this too the door staff but they were just rude and didn't want to know. Needless to say we all went else where and we won't be back there in a hurry. Digital you need to sort out your door staff. Very upsetting. The only thing we could guess was that don't like people with shaved hair and tatoos which my brother has. People beware before buying tickets. If the door staff dont like your appearence you may not be allowed in!

Pussycat Club

I recently visited Brighton to attend fatboy slims big beach boutique 4, as the beach party finished at 9.30pm our group decided to go to Hat club [digital]. we booked our tickets online on their website as we wanted to garauntee entry. After reading this website with regards to the door staff i was a little concerned we would not be let in as by the time the beach party had finished we would all be in a right mess. But i must say we all got in no probs,the music and sound system was exellent and although not as grand as some of the venues i have been in London the layout of the place was pretty impressive and most of all no attitude. If in Brighton i would go back.

Stonelove

Same experience as some other reviewer earlier this year. Doorstaff wouldn't allow us entry even though we had got onto the guestlist and then the attitude was unbelievable. The chap was just rude and then when I spoke (stuttered) I got told I was obviously drunk and there was no way I was ever getting in even if my mates were! I wouldn't bother going back on the basis of why bother risking getting some doorman's bad attitude. We went off to Casablanca's and had a great night instead.

2 Many Dj's

Nightmare of a club, they over sold tickets so that people who had bought advance tickets to get in, didnt, and then the police turned up and said the club was over capacity and Digitals response was to shut all the bars! Absolute shambles, it wouldnt happen at Audio or any of the other good clubs in Brighton, why should it happen there? It feels like they really dont care about your clubbing experience. Funktion One soundsystem is immense tho.

David Guetta

Ive been trying to contact Digital and came across this site, and wasnt surprised to find negative feedback regarding the security. My girlfriend and I plus 2 mates booked tickets a week in advance and drove 2.5 hours to come and see Guetta. We got into the packed club around 10.30,put our coats in and lost our mates. My girlfriend and I wandered round the club to find them, and ended up back at the front door, as we turned to go back in, round my girlfriend was approached by a female bouncer and was told that 'i have been watching you all night, you are drunk get out', as soon as i politly tried to say we have only been here 10 minutes, 'assistance' was shouted and two very rude overly aggressive bouncers turfed us out. I tried to explain, but was cut short with 'dont argue'. Outside it dawned on me that the club was at capacity, and there was still a massive queue...Im sure there were a few people in my position that night. Thanks Digital, £40 for a 4 person 10 minute tour of the club, and we didnt even get to buy a drink.

Kissy Sell Out

We came down to brighton for the weekend from stoke on trent, especially as we knew kissy sell out was playing and have seen him before. We managed to buy tickets from a little record shop in the lanes, and were glad we had as the queue to buy tickets on the door was huge!!! The club as a venue was great, good accoustics and places to sit and chill as well as dance!! Were slightly worried about the bouncers after reading these reviews but everyone was really friendly and mellow!! We'll defo be goin again one day!!

Stonelove

I've been clubbing in Brighton for well over 6 years and never had a single problem personally with any of the sea-side clubs. The staff at Digital last Friday were the exception. They were surly and humourless, given the fact it is supposed to be a fun, indie night rather than a hard house or DnB night where trouble is rife. My friends and I were refused entry despite being over 25 based on the fact we had 'had too much to drink'. We were only a few drinks into our night - just laughing and smiling which must be a rare occurence I suppose. It's a shame as I'd been really hyping the night up to the others in my party because it's been advertised so well.I'm not saying door staff shouldn't turn away blatantly drunk, rowdy crowds but we were a total of four and if the bouncer had actually spoken to us he would have realised we weren't even that tipsy.
Finally, the bouncer in question should learn to deliver that kind of bad news a little less confrontationally as to be honest he was very rude about turning us away. Your door-staff aren't a good 'face' for your club, Digital.

Tuesday Urban Night

Just a warning. A mate of mine bumped into someone by accident here on a tuesday. The guy he bumped into then held a knife to him, the doorteam came over an ended up throwing my mate out an leaving the guy with the knife in there. Only silly thing was my mate not reporting it, he said he wouldnt of been able to find the guy inside and so he stayed silent. Not a nice experience for him or anyone! So do watch your backs or who you bump into by accident in this club.

I am a massive fan of this club... This is a club where people who apreciate music go.. who apreciate that they are going to have the best night listening to whatever music is on.. The best sound system i have ever heard! and the staff are fit aswell!

Not to keen on new look. A lot of the character was in the curves and brickwork, now you have just boxed it all off and put the DJ so far out the way theres no interaction with them. Also, and a BIG also it is....whats the problem with the door staff? I was a door man for 9 yrs and watch how other door staff interact with staff and customers. Get them off the Red Bull or what ever it is giving them all the attitude.
