Chistmas TeaA Big thank you to the Guys at the Tea Cosy for making our christmas bash such a good laugh. Loved every minute, the food was as discussed, hot and tasty. Bring your own drink policy was even better, so much cheaper, entertainment thrown in for free and was not rushed out even though we over stayed our booking time waiting for taxi's. Will be back next year and be in for tea soon xx Lorna (HMP property services) |

Afternoon TeaA true brightonian independent Tea shop! Quirky, inventive, out of the bag and dam right camp and an amazing experience that must not be missed. My friends booked us up to go for afternoon tea for my birthday and it was the best present i got. Staff/owners provide non stop entertainment, food (Lady Diana Afternoon Tea) was presented so well on a nice gold leaf 3 tier cake stand it seemed a shame to ruin it and eat it, Tea constantly replenished without even asking, Amazing Decorations, and a eclectic mix of music ranging from 1940's war time classics to Kyle an Abba! 5 stars ***** Parking a nightmare. Two words that sum up the tea cosy 'weird & wonderful' but what do you expect in kemptown? |

| Important note for PARENTS - don't bother. Intrigued by so many great reviews, a friend and I traipsed quite a way across town (in the cold and pouring rain) to try out this place. Our dreams of warming up over hot tea and scones were shattered as, having my one year-old son with us, we were greeted by "Sorry, no prams allowed." Is this actually legal? | |

Sunday TeaExcellent, fabulous, interesting, tasty, entertaining, un-usual, unique, independent, strange, pricey but worth every penny, comfortable, welcoming. Just some of the many words i could use to describe my afternoon at the Tea Cosy. Not sure its a place you would frequent every week but as a special treat every now and again or somewhere to take your visiting family its great. Highly recommend for a real brighton experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Made Our HolidayThe tea cosy is small but fab cafe situated in the heart of kemp town with a royalist theme and just a soupson of Julie Goodyear thrown in for good luck! It's run by the campest of couples David and James and is not for the faint hearted!! Royal memorabillia adorns the walls and ceiling in an ever-so slightly tacky way but it all adds to the experience! This little tea shop is known all over the world..literally! The menu is just fab ranging from the William and Harry quick tea which consists of a large pot of tea and a plentyful selection of biscuits to the full blown Princess Diana blah blah blah spread which is the whole works of sandwiches, cakes, mini appitizers and of course unlimited tea. At first glance the menu seems a little pricey but is well worth it. David who is the hostess with the mostess has insults a plenty for those who don't adhere to the Tea Cosy etiquite, though it's all in good humour! The tea was good and hot served in a china cup and saucer and the biscuits were fresh, the cakes although we didn't sample them looked delicious. If your looking to be served by a real queen the the tea cosy is the place to go! |

Tea!A royalist dream, a Food Lovers paradise, A Princess Diana fans untimate pilgrimage and a coffee drinking slobs HELL! Absoloutly without doubt one of the finest venues you have to offer in brighton along with the Grand Hotel and The Pavillion. Food superbly presented and tasty, Service with a sharp, yet amusing host, so much to look at you will need longer than a trip to bluewater shopping centre to see it all. Hidden on a back street in kemptown you would never know it was there! (had we not been staying in the b&b around the corner) Take everything with a pinch of salt, never use your fingers to pick up the sugar cubes (sugar tongs provided)and just sit back, watch and eat cake! AMAZING!!!! THE HIGLIGHT OF MY TRIP TO BRIGHTON!!!!!!! |

Tea!The Tea Cosy represents everything Brighton is about! Have not got a bad word to say about it. We have taken all our family and friends, the menu is great (if a little strange), service with charm and wit, music entertaining but not to loud, and everytime i go i see something new on the walls. Constantly changing so can never get bored and always welcoming. But take note: best to book a table, especially on weekends!!! Certainly one of brightons most unique places to visit up with the pier, the royal pavillion, and the lanes! No PARKING SO BEST TO WALK :) |

Great Afternoon Tea ...Fab find! Love afternoon tea and have been to many in London. Visited last weekend with my Mum and Aunt for a 60th Bday weekend. My mum and Aunt nearly wet themself - Not old age just histerical laughter! The Tea Rooms are fab, so much to look at. We had read the rules so knew what to expect - But the automatic piano was what tipped my Mum over the edge - Great fun, superb food - Large portions and spotlessly clean. Will def visit again and have told everyone about it!!Well done for a such an alternate afternoon tea.... Louise xx |

You can travel the world and never find another place like this. The cakes are superb, generously proportioned and beautifully moist. Expect a fine pot of tea, possibly garnished with a hand knitted tea cosy, served with a helping of wit. The interior is delightfully kitsch and every visit you'll notice something new yet still be surprised by the randomly timed automated piano. Go with an open mind, take care of your table etiquette, don't dunk your biscuits and you will always leave with a smile. |

| What a great little find! This has got to be brightons campest cafe! We had the lady Diana Spencer tea for two, cream cakes, homemade scones and jam, beautiful little sandwiches, potatoes salad, biscuits, little fruit tarts, and fairy cakes, the most enormous pot of tea and all for £16. After visiting the grand with my parents on their last visit and paying £32 a head each and being totally disappointed with both the food and the service next time I will be taking them here. Puts the grand to shame! | |
